Man charged after police officer hit by car in Dumfries murder bid
A man has been charged over the attempted murder of a police officer who was hit by a car in Dumfries.A Subaru Forester was deliberately driven at the officer after police were called to assist a member of the public in Herries Avenue at about 01:20 on Monday.A 26-year-old man is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on police officer was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
